Privacy Policy
Introduction
We at Fundavellio take your privacy seriously. This document sets out, in plain English, what information we collect from you when you visit the site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to exercise the privacy rights granted to you under applicable law. Reading this policy in full is a good idea — privacy obligations vary by jurisdiction and a few of the choices below are yours to make.
Information We Collect
When you visit any page of Fundavellio our servers and our hosting providers automatically log standard request data — your IP address, the user-agent string sent by your browser, the page or article you requested, the referring URL, and a timestamp. This information is used to operate the site, troubleshoot problems, measure aggregate traffic, and detect abusive behavior such as scraping or brute-force attacks.
Some features of Fundavellio are designed for you to provide information voluntarily. If you subscribe to our newsletter you give us your email address (and, optionally, your name); if you use the Contact form you give us the details of your message; if you send us a press release or tip, we receive whatever you choose to put in the body of that email. We collect only what you submit, and we use it only for the purpose for which you submitted it.
How We Use Your Information
Information collected through Fundavellio is used to provide and improve the editorial product. Concretely, that means rendering pages to you, sending you newsletters you've explicitly opted in to, replying to messages you send via the Contact form, producing aggregated readership reports for our editorial team and advertisers, securing the site against abuse, and complying with applicable law. Your personal information is never sold to third parties.
Where European data-protection law applies, we rely on the following bases for our processing activities: legitimate interest (for site operation, security, and aggregate analytics); consent (for marketing communications and optional non-essential cookies); contractual necessity (for delivering subscription content you have requested); and legal obligation (for retention of records we are required to keep). You may withdraw consent at any point without affecting prior lawful processing.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores when you visit a website. Fundavellio uses both essential cookies (which the site needs to function) and, with your consent in jurisdictions where consent is required, optional cookies for analytics and advertising. You may decline or delete cookies at any time, although doing so may disable some features. We honor browser-level signals such as Global Privacy Control.
Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on a small set of third-party service providers to operate Fundavellio: a cloud-hosting provider for our servers, a content-delivery network and edge security provider, an email-delivery provider for our newsletter, and an analytics provider for aggregate visitor metrics. Each of these vendors processes data on our behalf under written contractual terms that restrict use of the data to the services we contract for.
Advertising
We may display advertising on Fundavellio sold programmatically through Google AdSense or another reputable advertising network. These networks use cookies to measure ad delivery and (where consent is granted) to personalize the ads shown. You can disable personalized advertising in your Google account at https://www.google.com/settings/ads and refuse non-essential cookies through our cookie banner.
Data Retention
Fundavellio's data-retention practices follow the principle of proportionality. We keep newsletter contacts only while the subscription is active (plus a suppression record after unsubscribe); we keep contact-form messages for up to two years; we keep server logs for up to 90 days; and we delete anything beyond those windows unless we have a specific legal reason to keep it longer.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you reside, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information: the right to know what we've collected; the right to access a copy; the right to correct inaccurate data; the right to delete data we hold about you; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell data, but you can confirm this); the right to limit our use of sensitive personal information; the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights; and the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.
Children's Privacy
Fundavellio does not target users under the age of 16 and we do not knowingly collect or process personal information from them. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it as quickly as practicable. Parents may notify us via the Contact form to request deletion of any child's data.
International Data Transfers
Some of the third-party processors we rely on are headquartered or operate servers in jurisdictions other than yours, including the United States and the European Union. Where such international transfers occur from jurisdictions that restrict them, we put in place appropriate safeguards — typically Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms — before any transfer takes place.
Security
We protect your personal information using a combination of administrative, technical, and physical safeguards proportionate to the sensitivity of the data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), restricted internal access on a need-to-know basis, regular review of vendor access controls, and prompt investigation of any incident that may impact your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we work hard to minimize risk.
Changes to This Policy and How to Reach Us
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. For significant changes we will provide additional notice (such as a banner on the site or a note in the newsletter). Privacy-related questions or requests should be sent through the Contact form linked in the footer.
